Clara Barton District List

This listserv was created to facilitate communication between religious educators within the Clara Barton District. It is open to all who are involved in Unitarian Universalist religious education in the district, whether full-time, part-time or volunteer. This list is relatively low volume, religious educators primarily share resources, ideas, and training/event information. It is an excellent way to connect to the other religious educators in CBD. Resource Library
The District maintains a Resource Library of materials available to leaders in district congregations including religious educators. Resources available include UUA and other UU RE curricula, worship materials, workshops and training guides, video tapes, and CDs. Materials are available on loan for specific time intervals. The REACH list is an e-list for UU religious educators to share resources, ideas, and support regard all aspects of Lifespan Faith Development programs and religious educator professional development. This is a high volume list but it is an invaluable resource for many UU religious educators.
LREDA

The Liberal Religious Educators’ Association is the professional organization for religious educators. LREDA provides a variety of services and support for its members including good officers. Membership is open to both new and seasoned religious education professionals.
North Atlantic LREDA Chapter

The local chapter of LREDA holds meetings and workshops three times each year. Membership is open to both new and seasoned religious education professionals.

UU Faith Works (formerly REACH)

Published by the UUA Lifespan Faith Development Staff Group, UU Faith Works provides resources that inspire faith development, educate for religious identity, connect ethical and spiritual practices, and empower religious educators, ministers, and lay congregational leaders in their roles and responsibilities of serving Unitarian Universalists seekers. There are two issues per year published online; one Summer/Autumn and one Winter/Spring.

The Teacher Development web site provides resources about teaching and learning in lifespan faith development programs. The deep generosity of religious educators has made it possible for us to draw on work developed within our congregations. The website offers tools to support pragmatic aspects of teaching in faith as well as tools to awaken the souls of teachers and sustain them in the quest for spiritually rich engagement. There are seven sections of the web site including: Teacher Development Survey, Framing Teaching, Understanding Learners, Sustaining Teaching, Supporting Teaching, Teaching as Social Justice Work, and Enriching Teaching.
